Nuisance and Solid Waste
For the purpose of assuring proper control of vectors and nuisances (i.e., garbage, rubbish, junk cars, weeds, dilapidated buildings, etc.), this program is responsible for regulating the miscellaneous group of annoying and offensive environmental conditions which may jeopardize the health, safety, and welfare of the community. The Greene County Nuisance Ordinance is the legal base governing the definition and abatement of nuisance conditions.
Operated primarily through citizen complaints, the Solid Waste and Nuisance Control Program involves conducting investigations and abating adverse physical conditions which are determined to be potential public health threats to the community.
