If your insurance provider is on this list, you should call the number on your insurance card and verify they will pay for vaccinations at GCHD. You could be billed for the vaccinations if your insurance denies payment to GCHD.
If your insurance carrier is not on the list above, you will be required to pay for your vaccines before they are given. You may seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
If you do not have insurance, we have a list of prompt-pay fees for services.
Children’s Immunizations
Infant and children’s immunizations are given by appointment. Please call 217-942-6961 Option 5 to schedule.
Children ages birth through 18 years qualify for the Vaccines for Children program if they:

have Medicaid coverage
-
are American Indian or Alaskan natives
-
do not have health insurance
-
have health insurance that DOES NOT cover vaccinations
VFC fees: $20/ injection.
Children who qualify for the VFC program shall not be denied vaccinations if unable to pay the administration fee or make a donation. The VFC program does accept Medicaid for payment.
Children who have medical insurance that covers vaccinations DO NOT qualify for the Vaccines for Children program.
