Greene & Scott County Community Resource Guide
GSRC began as a culmination of ideas that has blossomed into what can only be described as a movement. A movement that is only made possible because of those with lived experience and our numerous community stakeholders across the various sectors.
The council serves as one of the newest Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) Councils within the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery‘s (IDHS/SUPR) network of councils located across Illinois. The department will serve as the lead agency, providing leadership for the council. GSRC works to build a much-needed coordinated network of services and supports for substance use and mental health here at home. This is an opportunity for our community to join other communities across the nation in shifting from an acute care approach to a chronic care approach, building upon the department’s work in ensuring everyone has the opportunity to improve their health, wellness, and quality of life. Learn more about our work and review minutes, agendas, and other documents here. Connect with our team at 217-942-6961 Opt. 6 or via text at (217) 702-2396
